Sift flour and measure. Add soda and salt. In separate bowl cream shortening, gradually add honey; beat well after each addition to keep mixture thick. Add ¼ of the flour mixture, beat until smooth. Add eggs one at a time; beating well. Stir in chocolate; blend. Add remaining flour alternately with water; beating well. Add vanilla. Pour into 2 greased 8"x8"x2" layer pans. Preheat oven to 325° F.
