Honey Wheat Applesauce Bread

Ingredients
2½ Cups milk
2 Tablespoons lard
½ Cup applesauce
3 Tablespoons honey
1½ Teaspoons salt
3 Packages yeast
3 Cups white flour
3 Cups wheat flour
Instructions

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Heat milk and lard together until hot.

Add applesauce, honey, salt, 1 cup white flour and 1 cup wheat flour. Add yeast and let set for 5 minutes.

Add rest of wheat flour until ready to knead on cupboard. Knead in rest of white flour until it forms a firm ball.

Cover dough and place it in warm place until it doubles in bulk. Punch down and let rise again.

Bake in 350° F preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes.

Yield: 2 loaves
