The Entomology department offers certificate programs in three focus areas:
Entomology in Education
Forensic Entomology/Medical Entomology
Horticultural Pest Management
Integrated Pest Management in Entomology
Urban Pest Management
These courses are fully transferable to the M.S. program if a student wishes to continue his or her education after completing the certificate program.
For-Credit Certificate Program
Overview:
Students must be admitted through the Graduate College. They will enroll in graduate courses, and must complete them according to the course syllabi for graduate students.
Students who have not had any entomology courses will be asked to take the undergraduate Insect Biology class for non-credit at a reduced tuition rate.
Students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours, including 3 credit hours of the Core course and 9 additional credits from Elective courses. Three of these credit hours may be from Optional courses.
Students must complete each course in accordance with grade requirements set by Graduate Studies in order to earn the certificate of completion.
The cost of the Certificate of Completion is $25.00.
