Professional Responsibilities and Activities:

Extension:
  1. Educational programming in turfgrass and horticultural entomology, urban pest management, medical entomology,and apiculture.
  2. Panelist on the popular long-running "Backyard Farmer" program on public television.

Research:
  1. Research focuses on the development of integrated management strategies for insect and mite pests affecting turfgrasses and horticultural plantings in Nebraska.
  2. Biology, ecology and management of arthropods associated with buffalograss.

Publications:
Over 150 research and extension publications in the area of integrated pest management.
