Research and Teaching Interests:
  • Developing technologies to enhance science teaching and scientific literacy. Using database driven web-based programs and mobile device technologies to compliment PK-20 science instruction.
  • Assessing quantitative data to determine how technology, professional development, and workshop interventions impact teachers' and students' concept understanding, attitudes, and instructional practices.
  • Curriculum development for informal and formal classroom environments.
  • Using insects as a model for inquiry instruction for engaging students and teachers in scientific discovery.
  • Faculty development teaching best instructional practices in both technology and non-technology enhanced classroom environments.
