  1. Molecular Characterization of ants, termites, and cockroaches.
  2. Novel biochemical/toxicological pest management strategies for household/structural pests with special emphasis on termites, cockroaches and ants.
  3. Biochemical/molecular basis for insecticide resistance in German cockroaches.
  4. Baiting technology - termites and cockroaches.
  5. Toxicology and environmental fate of insecticides used for termite control.
  6. Human exposure to pesticides and risk assessment.
Extension
  1. Develop and coordinate the Statewide Urban Pest Management Conference.
  2. Develop pest management education programs with special emphasis on household/structural pests.
  3. Coordinate pesticide applicator training for structural pest control operators.
Grants
  1. Over $3,280,587 grant dollars from federal, state, and industry.
