Insecticides for Control of Corn Rootworm Adults in Dry Beans

Updated March 10, 2003 by Gary Hein and John Thomas

Economic Threshold:
Significant populations will develop rarely and only where beans are adjacent to severely infested continuous corn. Treat if defoliation levels are approaching 5-15% of entire plant and beetles are actively feeding in beans. Border treatments next to infested corn would be most economical.
