| Economic Threshold: Detection of developing populations can lead to prevention of the rapid defoliation of sugarbeets by the larger larvae. Scouting for the early signs of an infestation is important. Insecticide control would be warranted if significant defoliation (> 15%) has occurred and larvae are still actively feeding. |
