Insecticides for Control of Cutworms in Sunflower

Updated May 5, 2006 by Gary Hein and John Thomas

Economic Threshold:
Treat if there is one or more cutworms per square foot, or if plant stand losses are approaching the lower limits for optimum plant population. Cutworms longer than one inch are likely to cease feeding and pupate before causing significant additional damage.
