Insecticides for Control of Head Moths in Sunflower

Economic Threshold:
Pheromone trap sampling (from R3 to R5.1): Less than one moth per trap per night indicates a low-risk field. Greater than 4 moths per trap per night indicates a high-risk field. From 1 to 4 moths per trap per night indicates an intermediate-risk field and should be sampled further using the field sampling procedures to more accurately estimate damage potential.

Field sampling: One to two sunflower head moths per five plants at early bloom.
