Third floor. The fume hoods are expected to arrive July 31 or August 1. These are the last major installation. Once they arrive, it will take 10 days to install them. The latest date for third floor commissioning is August 24 and will take two to three weeks.

We will be able to use the third floor after commissioning is complete. At this time, the remaining hood in the basement will be decommissioned.

First floor. Painting will begin today and ceiling grids will be installed Monday. Work, except for some final wiring for casework will be completed by August 10. Commissioning will be done by August 13 and moving is scheduled to begin August 17.

Fire alarm testing. The fire marshal will be inspecting the new fire alarm system August 18. There will be pre-testing done before that but I don’t have that date yet. Get ready for noise.

Stairwell. The stairwell railing at the bottom of the second floor will be shortened to provide room to enclose the piping in the corner. The piping on first floor will also be enclosed.
