Entomology Hall Renovations
| The demolition of the first floor lab is complete. An asbestos report due 18 June will determine how quickly the next phase of work will begin. We will very likely be able to move into the lab in room 104 before the third floor space. On the third floor, the air handling systems are being pressure tested. Once approved, ceilings and final painting will be done. All the walls have been primed and some casework is being installed. Ceiling work is expected to start next Wednesday. The air flow regulator governing the hood in room 2a shorted out this week. The regulator has been bypassed and the hood will be operating at full speed until after we have access to hoods on the third floor. Take a look at the stainless steel duct work in the ceilings and at the electronic gas flow valve visible in the pictures for room 309 and other rooms. This type of infrastructure is where a lot of the money is going! - Gary Brewer |
