While observing the giant African millipede, or the Madagascar hissing cockroaches, you may notice some small creatures running around on their bodies.   These are small, spider-like arthropods that live on the millis and roaches that have a symbitic relationship...they help keep the exoskeleton of their host organism clean, and the millis and roaches transport the mites to new environments.

What Do They Eat?  Saliva and “gunk” that is between the millis and cockroaches’ legs, this keeps mold from growing on their exoskelton.

Life Cycle: Gradual (egg -> larva -> nymphs -> adult)
