Professional Responsibilities and Activities

  • Develop and deliver educational programs and resources to support Nebraska Extension’s statewide issue teams.
  • Provide state-wide, regional, and national leadership in developing rapid and innovative insect diagnostics.
  • Train extension personnel, UNL students, faculty, and staff, and other professionals in new insect diagnostic technologies.
  • Lead and innovate Nebraska’s identification, surveillance, and mapping of invasive and threatening arthropod species, especially those of economic importance.
  • Engage Nebraskans and others in citizen science projects focused on invasive species topics.
