The 2021 BugFest at the UNL Department of Entomology has evolved to fit the health and safety needs of its community. As part of that evolution, the UNL Entomology Department will hold it's first-ever 2021 Virtual BugFest from Oct. 10-24, 2021.
This online event is designed to appeal to learners of all ages who love insects or science and it will feature asynchronous topic videos and presentations starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10. Over the two-week timeframe, online guests will be able to observe Nebraska insects, learn about bee biology, and be guided in drawing insects. The free event is an opportunity to learn from entomology students, faculty & staff.
The 2020 BugFest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic but has returned for 2021 in a virtual format due to COVID precautions.
More details about the virtual BugFest may be found at https://go.unl.edu/bugfest2021.
