Golick receives Distinguished Teaching Award from North Central Branch of ESA

Dr. Doug Golick, Associate Professor in Entomology, received the 2022 Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching at the North Central Branch of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) at the branch's annual meeting March 20-23, 2022, in Minneapolis, MN

Nominees for this teaching award were judged on Classroom Instruction, Other Aspects of Teaching, Outreach and Other Activities. The winner of the Branch award will compete with winners from other branches for the Society-level ESA award.

Golick's career focuses on Science Education, and Human Dimensions of Beneficial Insect Systems. His resesarch areas include Insect Ecology, Pollinator Health, and Science Literacy.

He regularly teaches ENTO 810 Insects as Educational Tools, ENTO/ALEC 830 Introduction to the Development of Distance Education, and ENTO 915 Presentation Methods. Golick received his Ph.D. in Educational Studies with an emphasis on Instructional Technology from UNL in 2005.
