Dr. Louise Lynch-O'BrienDr. Louise Lynch-O'Brien was awarded her first major grant. She and Ted Hibbeler, UNL Tribal Extension Educator, are co-Principal Investigators (PIs) on a $200,000 grant titled, "University of Nebraska Tribal Extension Program." The grant is provided by the Native American Agriculture Fund.

The University of Nebraska Tribal Extension Program will use this grant to provide garden-to-table market training, accessing capital, financial literacy workshops, internships/job training, and academic/career advising. The program also seeks to increase the number of Native Producers by teaching high school students to grow food for their families and for profit. Congratulations to Louise & Ted!
