What is a proposal?
The proposal is a 2-3 page document which specifies the details of your M.S. project.
Specifically, it includes:

  1. A statement regarding the goal of the project.
  2. Background information that explains any previous work and the rationale of the project.
  3. What you are going to do, how you will do it, and when you will do it (including a proposed timeline of M.S. project completion).
  4. A list of project outcomes, and how these will be documented in your portfolio.
  5. Use the Project proposal template to lay out your proposal with all required sections.

Proposals are due within the first five (5) weeks of the course unless you are graduating that semester. They should be created electronically and saved as a Microsoft Word document.

Completed proposals should be sent to:

Proposals will be evaluated by the M.S. Project Coordinator and student's committee. Feedback on proposals will be sent to students via Canvas or email two weeks after the proposal due date. In some cases, revisions to the proposal will be necessary with resubmission for further evaluation.
